Irlam Live returned to Prince’s Park from Friday 29 to Sunday 31 May 2026, marking its 10th anniversary and bringing together more than 30 bands, singers and DJs across two stages. For Live Events Ltd, it was a fantastic opportunity to support a much-loved local festival and deliver a full weekend of reliable, professional event production.
Across the weekend, our team provided the technical infrastructure needed to keep both stages running smoothly. From the first act to the final performance, the focus was simple: clear sound, strong stage lighting, smooth changeovers and dependable support for artists, organisers and the festival team.
Planning the Two-Stage Setup
Delivering one festival stage takes preparation. Delivering two across a busy weekend takes detailed planning, clear communication and a crew that knows how to work under pressure.
Before the event, we worked through the practical details of the site, stage requirements, artist changeovers, equipment positions, cable routes, power distribution and operating areas. With two performance spaces running across the weekend, it was important that each stage could operate independently while still feeling like part of one joined-up festival production.
Each stage was planned around the needs of the performers and the flow of the event. That meant making sure artists had the monitoring they needed, engineers had proper control positions, and the audience received consistent sound coverage throughout the site.
Audio That Worked for the Crowd and the Artists

Across the weekend, we delivered technical support across both stages, with audio on one of the stages provided by our good friends at DBS, who did a fantastic job as always. With multiple artists performing across the weekend, quick changeovers were key. Our crew worked closely with performers and stage teams to keep each act moving on and off stage efficiently, helping the programme stay on track.
Lighting for Atmosphere and Impact
Stage lighting plays a huge part in creating the feel of a live event. For Irlam Live 2026, the lighting needed to support a wide range of acts, from daytime performances through to the evening headline atmosphere.
Our lighting setup gave each stage its own identity while keeping the overall festival look consistent. The aim was to create energy, colour and movement without overcomplicating the show. As the weekend moved from daylight into evening, the lighting helped lift the atmosphere and give each performance a stronger visual impact.
Crew, Communication and Weekend Support
A successful festival weekend depends on the people behind the scenes. Our crew were on site throughout the event, supporting setup, operation, artist changeovers, technical checks and derig.
With two stages active, communication was essential. The team stayed focused on timing, safety, equipment reliability and quick problem-solving. Festivals are live environments, and things can change quickly, so having experienced technicians on site made a real difference.
From early checks to final shutdown, the job was about keeping everything moving and making sure the event team could concentrate on the audience experience.
